About the Film
Fleeing Lebanon once again in July 2006, director Philippe Aractingi realizes that -- like him -- his ancestors have been fleeing wars and massacres for five generations. Weaving together photographs, archival footage and playful staged scenes involving his own children, he traces his family's journeys across the Levant: a film about exile, memory and transmission, told with warmth and unusual candour.
Now Taught In Universities
Broadcast in France and Lebanon, the film is now used as a teaching text in schools and universities, including Boston University.
