It tells the untold story of incredibly talented backup singers like Lisa Fischer, Darlene Love or Merry Clayton, who, despite their immense talent, never quite made it to the centre stage. The video essay explores themes of success, exploitation, and the emotional journey of artists.
I’ll share my personal impressions of the documentary, uncover the behind-the-scenes secrets of iconic music moments, and reflect on what true success really means in the world of music and beyond.
